Currently, the following positions are available in the group as part of expansion of research operations:

Postdoctoral Fellow-I in Computational Biology (Ref: PGL/PDF/2018_01):
Applications are invited for an experienced computational biologist (preferably with basic knowledge in microbiology or parasitology and genetics) with a proven track record in at least one of the following areas: genome assembly and comparative genome analysis, evolutionary genomics, gene expression, gene regulatory networks and epi-genomics.
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral molecular and cell biologist with a proven track record in at least one of the following areas: microbial cell biology, genetics and genomics. Previous research experience and knowledge about apicomplexan parasites would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.

For the Research Scientist position, a minimum of 3-4 years of postdoctoral experience in the field of Genomics and Bioinformatics or Parasite Cell Biology with a matching publication track record is a pre-requisite. This is a senior position in the group and the candidate will be required to have considerable experience in supervisory and managerial skills.

Previous research experience in a reputed institution and a proven publication track record in apicomplexan parasite cell biology and genomics will be a distinct advantage for all of the above three positions. Willingness for occasional international travels to collaborative institutions may be necessary.

For the Research Technician (Bioinformatics) position, a minimum of 2 years of working experience is required from candidates with graduate or post-graduate qualifications in bioinformatics / information technology. Previous work experience in managing large volume next generation sequence (NGS) datasets and use of bioinformatic tools and pipelines in a genomics-oriented laboratory will be a distinct advantage.

All of the above positions are available immediately and will remain open until filled.

Interested candidates should send a cover letter referring to a specific job reference, CV, and the names of three references by email to arnab.pain@kaust.edu.sa. For informal inquiries, please contact Prof. Arnab Pain via e-mail (arnab.pain@kaust.edu.sa).  The positions come with an internationally competitive salary and benefits packages.
