Dear Kayenat

Welcome to the family on behalf of the entire team. We cannot wait to see what you build at PGL, literally and computationally.

Kayenat joins us as a PhD student where she's reconstructing microbial communities from samples and predicting protein structures in beautiful ways. She brings a rare combination of bench skill and computational muscle that this lab is excited to have! 

She pipettes. She codes. She folds proteins and unfolds scientific mysteries. Wet lab in the morning, computational structural biology by afternoon, and somewhere in between she finds time to wrangle metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, and metabarcoding studies. We are thrilled, we are excited, and we are looking forward to your creative inputs into the lab in the best possible way.
